On our Own

Today Grandpa and I are both working on our computers. There are many updates to check out. I wish I knew how to add pictures to make this more interesting like the blogs of our grandchildren. However, I decided to post a thought about the fact that all of our children are out of town and so we are on our own. We do have some of the grandchildren still in town so I suppose we are not truly on our own. Of course, we have access via phone especially the cell-phone and also via e-mail. I guess this is what "empty nesters" really feel like.

Fun at Kristyn's

Last Thursday Melodie drove over from Newbury Park and drove us in our car to Kristyn's in Moorpark. Quite a drive from a loving daughter. We looked so forward to the day. Kristyn and Jackson greeted us with smiles. We took In-and-Out Burgers for lunch and after visiting my sister, Virginia, in Moorpark we took pizza back for dinner. I had a little MOM beanie baby for Jackson to give to Kristyn. He has known that she is his MOM, but just recently called her that. Nana (Melodie) is so fun to watch enjoy her little grandson. She sings, plays, loves, feeds and thoroughly enjoys the experience. Kristyn is a great MOM. She had a great teacher.

Finally an update

Two years are long enough to go by before adding to this blog. We have had to deal with many physical problems, but there is a light at the end of the tunnel. We have followed the blogs that have been kept up by Kristyn and Shaun and Jackson. In addition, Loni and Clark keep up their experiences. Now, we discovered Megan and David have entered into the group. Maybe, Grandpa and I need to become involved again. We will try.
